America is considered an obese country. One way to avoid it is to add in exercise to your every day choices. While people say they can’t afford a gym or they don’t have time there are ways to make sure exercise is part of your every day lifestyle. You could go for a walk during lunch instead of sitting and eating in a break room. There are other ways to travel other than sitting in a car. You could use a commuter bike instead of a car.
The epidemic of obesity continues to grow. A staggering 35 percent of adults in the U.S. Are considered obese. However, there is more. 34 percent of adults are considered overweight but not obese. That means that two out of every three American adults are overweight or obese. To think that 67 percent of Americans are at higher risk for deadly diseases such as Type-2 Diabetes or Heart disease is scary.
Exercise is important in fighting the epidemic of obesity. Your daily lifestyle should include exercise. Sedentary lifestyle is a big reason that obesity is part of the problem. The majority of Americans sit all day. Whether it is in the car, at work, at lunch or watching television, they are always sitting and never moving around. Not only is working out at a gym or fitness center important but moving around throughout the day is crucial as well. Using a commuter bike is a great way to ensure you are active throughout the day.
Exercise is no longer optional, it is a key part of every day life. Technological advancements have made people lazy and things that were done manually in the past are automatic with newer machines. A car is a perfect example. If you want to get somewhere, all you need to do is go into your car, sit down and drive somewhere. If there were no cars you would need to figure out a different source of transportation.
Obesity is no joke in the United States. Type-2 Diabetes and Heart Disease are deadly diseases and those by themselves should be enough of a warning how serious this is. It is especially important because this is an epidemic that can be avoided. Don’t be part of the obesity epidemic statistic and take action today.
